Acceptable use

saycheese moves real money between real people, so a few rules are not optional. This policy is part of our terms of service. The spirit is simple: tips are genuine appreciation, and everything that fakes, launders, or weaponizes them is out.
Campaign hard lines
Creators can run goal campaigns for their own purposes. Four lines are hard, and they come from payment rules rather than taste:
- Nothing with a prize, raffle, or lottery. A campaign is not a sweepstake.
- No political fundraising.
- No raising money on behalf of third parties, including charities. Your campaign funds your own work.
- Nothing prohibited by the card networks or our payment processor.
Campaigns that cross these lines are removed.
No fraud
No stolen cards, no cards you are not authorized to use, no tipping to launder money or disguise where funds came from, and no misrepresenting who you are or what a page is. We report payment fraud to our payment processor and, where appropriate, to law enforcement.
No self-tipping schemes
Do not tip yourself, and do not arrange circles of accounts tipping each other, to inflate supporter counts, manufacture activity, or move money to yourself through the platform. Card testing, where small tips probe whether a stolen card works, is fraud and treated as such.
Tips are not a storefront
Tips are voluntary support. Do not use them to sell goods or services, and never for anything illegal or prohibited by the card networks. If money changes hands in exchange for something, saycheese is the wrong tool and using it that way breaks this policy.
The platforms' rules apply
Cheese can be sent through supported social comments and chats, so those platforms’ rules apply too. Do not use saycheese in ways that break the rules of the platform involved: no spam comments, no ban evasion, no bot swarms of cheese. If a platform bans your account, do not claim or operate a saycheese page for it.
Messaging conduct
Where messaging or replies are available, do not use them to harass, threaten, or scam, and do not use tips as a paid doorway to unwanted contact. A tip does not entitle anyone to a thank-you, reply, private conversation, or other service from a creator.
Do not break the machinery
No probing, scraping, or interfering with the service, no attempts to bypass authentication, payment authorization, or account protections, and no reverse engineering our systems to game how comments become charges.
Enforcement
Depending on what happened, we may:
- Remove a campaign or a page.
- Pause tipping on an account while we look into it.
- Refund affected tips.
- Suspend or close accounts.
- Report to our payment processor, the card networks, or law enforcement.
We match the response to the problem. An honest mistake gets a conversation, fraud does not.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks this policy, email support@saycheese.tips with a link to the page, post, or campaign. See also our terms of service.
